week 2 pt 3

The Bridge
I wanted to capture the bridge in the late afternoon autumn light
I took a couple of shots from different angles

i first put the bridge to the right of the frame, portrait orientation, then i changed the orientation to landscape and put the bridge to the left of the frame

two totally different impressions....
then i changed my perspective by walking away from the bridge.

i put a piece of shrubbery in the bottom right of the frame, but later decided to get rid of it again and focus solely on the lines of the bridge and the reflections in the water, so i moved a bit closer
I really liked this last shot

so i went home and played around with it a bit, trying to give it more impact by cropping it
first i cropped within the default format, later i decided to choose a format that accentuated the span of the bridge and cropped out all distracting visual information

i then realized i wanted the image to focus on the bottom part of the bridge and the reflections in the water, so i cropped out most of the wooden railing.

a friend told me she would like the shot better if i put more of the bridge in it; she thinks i have cropped out too much here.
since she also prefers the second shot on this page because of the colors and the vanishing point i decided to play around with that image too
